Professional Education, Training, and Research Office
The NCMH through its Professional Education, Training and Research Office (PETRO) oversees, leads, strategizes, and facilitates learning and development programs and research and development initiatives of NCMH employees and other stakeholders by adhering to established standards, to capacitate mental health workforce and generate evidence-based practices and standards of care in order to reduce morbidity and mortality outcomes.
Research
The PETRO aims to improve the quality of research outputs, foster a conducive research environment, and cultivate a robust research culture within the institution. In accordance with the strategic goals and objectives, the PETRO, along with the research committees and relevant offices, seeks to translate research findings into actionable policies and practices to ensure that evidence-based approaches are effectively integrated into healthcare service delivery.
