The Center for Wellness, in collaboration with the Public Health Unit, was invited to conduct a training session on Peer Support and Psychological First Aid for youth leaders. This training was initiated by the Center for Youth Advocacy and Networking (CYAN) and Government Watch (G-Watch) through their Multiply-Ed (X-Ed) project.

The training aimed to empower young people to support one another and respond more effectively to mental health challenges.

Key topics included building a supportive environment, discussed by Mr. Anthony Z. Baltazar; Psychological First Aid, presented by Mr. Marc Neil G. Francisco; and the importance of self-care, shared by Mr. Jhoeward James A. Solis. Mr. Marvin T. Baraoidan and Ms. Kate C. Balbido facilitated interactive and engaging activities that encouraged participation and reflection.

Youth leaders from various schools attended the session, which was filled with insightful discussions, valuable information, and enjoyable learning experiences.

This initiative highlights the importance of equipping young people with the knowledge and skills to care for their mental health and support others within their communities.
