In celebration of Mental Health Month, the National Center for Mental Health – Public Health Unit (NCMH-PHU), in collaboration with the Department of Agriculture – Bureau of Soils and Water Management (DA-BSWM) Personnel Section, conducted a two-day program titled “Psychosocial Wellness in the Workplace” on October 2–3, 2025 at the BSWM Convention Hall, Diliman, Quezon City.
The activity aimed to promote mental well-being among BSWM employees by enhancing their understanding of workplace mental health and providing practical strategies to manage stress and interpersonal challenges.
The sessions covered key topics such as the WHO Workplace Model, Conflict Management, Overview on Mental Health, Stress and Stress Management, and Providing a Supportive Environment. These discussions were led by speakers from the NCMH-PHU, namely Mr. Francis R. Paule, Atty. Jose Marie P. Iporac, Ms. Lynell C. Barayuga, Mr. Joshua James S. Vicente, and Ms. Keisha D. Arjona.
The program featured a mix of lectures and interactive activities designed to ensure active participation and help participants apply the concepts learned in their daily work. Through these activities, employees were encouraged to reflect on their own experiences, share insights, and work together toward building a healthier and more supportive workplace.
This initiative supports the ongoing efforts of both NCMH and DA-BSWM to promote psychosocial wellness, raise mental health awareness, and create a work environment that values the overall well-being of employees.
